Acorn Stud is owned by, Jerome and Lisa Hulin. Acorn Stud started in December 2007 with the purchase of Polish Belle (GB) and the creation of the Polish Belle Partnership while Jerome was managing Oak Hill Stud and Ballykilbride Stud.  Jerome and Lisa met in 1998 in Kildare as students of the Stud management course at the Irish National Stud. They have learnt their foundation horsemanship and husbandry skill from the ground up with some of the top studs and consignor in Europe while developing their own style and place.
